Because it's SOMETHING

I got tagged, or at least I think I got tagged.  She called me Pooks.  Am I still listed under Pooks?  We used to be Pooks Inc. because Eric started calling our kids Pookanoos, and then shortened it to Pooks, and I like the idea of being a creator of Pooks, and then we would mass supply them, and adding "Inc." to the end of something looked cute and why am I telling you all this when I have a meme to respond to?

8 things I did yesterday:
  1. Made my nephews Toaster Strudels for breakfast and henceforth became their most favorite aunt ever.
  2. Watched the season finale of season 5 of Lost, and thus ended the insanity that was Trying To Catch Up On Lost.
  3. Introduced Harrison to Toy Story, and enjoyed it more than he did.
  4. Got Bahama Bucks (again).
  5. Listened to Abbey Road (again).
  6. Read Green Eggs and Ham to my kids.
  7. Kept 3 excited kids away from the birds nest on our patio.  Succeeded.
  8. Watched that Twilight Zone episode about the kids who find another world in their swimming pool.
8 things I look forward to
  1. Beatles Rock Band (09/09/09)
  2. Lennon's first day of kindergarten
  3. Harrison's first word (I've decided it's not "bread")
  4. Going back to Scotland with my kids someday
  5. Hawaii '12
  6. Disneyland '10
  7. Getting old and watching game shows all day
  8. Flying cars
8 things I wish I could do:
  1. Write a novel that someone would buy
  2. Get my closet organized
  3. Read Minds
  4. Travel with my kids
  5. Sing
  6. Draw
  7. Design and sew my own clothes
  8. Not feel intimidated by volunteer work
8 shows I watch on TV:
  1. My Life on the D List
  2. Quantum Leap
  3. 30 Rock
  4. Twilight Zone
  5. The Office
  6. Top Chef: Masters
  7. The Bachelorette
  8. Sesame Street
8 people I tag:
  1. Tim Meadows
  2. The little girl from Growing Pains
  3. Teresa from Real Housewives of NJ
  4. The Sun King
  5. Blair Underwood (or as my husband calls him - Blood Underwear...  Shame.  We don't have it.)
  6. The Country Bears Jamboree
  7. fake lemon juice
  8. Anyone who hasn't updated their blog in a while

Thank you. I will buy anything you write. I don't believe you actually watch Quantum Leap. I think you are joking and if you are joking I think you and my husband have the same sense of humor because he mentions Quantum Leap often to be funny. He also turns up the volume everytime he finds an "A.L.F." episode just to annoy people. I wish I knew who Blair Underwood was, I google him later. You are Pooks to me. Would you like to be something else? If so I'd be happy to think of something cool. Like..."The Real Tina Fey of Maricopa County".

P.S. I appreciate your pre-tag disclaimer. I feel it necessary to explain/defend my decision to participate in a tag as well. Thank you for participating even though I know it conflicted with your blogging morals.

Dude, we rock Quantum Leap every day at 3 over here in good 'ole St. George. I'm a little offended American Idol didn't make it on your list, but not totally offended since it's not on until January.

I was just talking about Bahama Bucks yesterday, and I really wanted one. Now I REALLY want one.

Renee, you kill me. I swear, I've died from your humor. And your husband kills me too. Can I become Wife #2 in the VanAusdal family? Just for the jokes, nothing more. Aaaand, the Sun King is long gone. That was soooo 17th-century.
