Disney Movie Rewards

Okay, I don't usually do this on my blog, but I think this warrants a little change in behavior:

Right now DisneyMovieRewards is running a program in which you can use your rewards points to donate Disney DVDs to Children's Hospitals across the country.  When you buy a Disney movie, you get a code in the sleeve that you enter in for points on the DisneyMovieRewards site, and then you exchange those points for "prizes."  For those of you who remember Kool-Aid Points, it's a lot like that.  You get anywhere from 75 to 150 points (something like that) for every movie you buy.  To donate a Disney Care Package is only 75 points, so really it amounts to Buy a Disney DVD and one is Donated for free.

I know a lot of you guys buy these movies anyway (don't act like you didn't buy High School Musical 3), and those points are most likely just sitting on your DVD shelf.  If you don't want to have to sign up for One More Thing (I know a few of you have been burned by Coke Rewards) I get that.  If you want, you can send me the code, and I promise to use all those points towards the Disney Children's Hospital Care packages.  These codes go back a long way (something like 3 years), so check in your older movies.

I just think this is a cool program that requires almost no effort, and I just wanted to call attention to it.

Okay, back to regularly scheduled Period jokes.

ETA:  For a complete list of eligible movie titles go here.

I wonder - is there a way to convert those codes into Beatle's Rock Band? I think I am onto you...

If there was a way to convert Disney Movie Rewards points into ANYTHING of value, I probably wouldn't have read so much into the DVD Donation to the Hospitals. But if I buy like 900 movies from Disney, I could maybe trade my points in for some Waterford Crystal Mickey Mouse Ears. (insert Boo and Thumbs Down here).

I thought the "eligible movie titles" had something to do with the period jokes.

Here's my movie list with period titles:

1) Hustle and Flow
2) 28 Days

...I guess that's it for now

Okay, Eric, next time you're going to one-up me on my blog, I would prefer it wasn't when I was actually ON my period. I laughed so hard I bled through my jeans.

(I didn't really. I wear Super Heavy with Wings, so I'm pretty well taken care of in that department)

I'm glad I am in good company right now. I can't wait to be a nice person again in 2.5 days.
