Some stuff about stuff

Disney Movie Club sent me Old Dogs in the mail, even though I explicitly told them not to. This is way worse than the time they sent me The Pacifier. G-ross. I'm not doing a blog giveaway for that B.S. That junk is going right back to the warehouse of shame that is Disney Movie Clubs' returned copies of Old Dogs. Losers.

In other news, I am decorating my living room, FINALLY. I can't wait to get it all done. I nearly bought spray paint today, to paint the ugly brass chandelier that came with our house, but I chickened out because Eric gave me a "look." The "look" that says, "If you mess this up, I am going to remind you that I gave you a 'look'." I am still pretty close to redoing it anyway though, because for real, brass is not cute. I'd rather have a crappily painted white chandelier that looks like I at least tried to not be gross, than have an overtly brass fixture that just sits up there, all brassy and dumb.

I am also going to commission some artwork. I want a living room full of Beatles-inspired paintings. Nothing too obvious. A submarine in one painting, maybe some yellow-matter custard dripping from a dead dog's eye in another. You know, real classy stuff. I have three artists in mind, and I'm really excited about it, but if you're an artist, or you want to be, we should talk, because I have been bitten by the Original Art bug, and I really like calling myself a Commissioner, so we may be able to work something out.

That's about all I'm willing to say right now. Old Dogs is out, brass is out, Beatles paintings are in. Oh, and I hate state-run agencies. But that's for another day.

Nothing says "welcome home" like a dead dog with yellow custard dripping out of its eye!

Did you ever watch Game Plan and realize what an awesome movie that is?
"Yellow-matter custard dripping from a dead dog's eye" is one of my boys' favorite lines.

The Disney Movie Club always sent me stuff I didn't want. Hence the unopened copy of a Hannah Montana movie in the office.

The Game Plan is an awesome movie and for you to still be talking about my husband's movie is truly a sad story! ;) Leave him alone already.

I've had the bug to decorate my place for 4 years... Still my walls are bare and I even bought artwork years ago... I just always have an excuse... 'the couch is so big, the small artwork will look funny hanging above it.' Good luck on decorating :D
