First, We are weirdos, I know this...
That said, Lennon would like to know if reptiles are warm-blooded or cold-blooded animals. It isn't that we haven't already looked this up in books and on the internet, and shown her the answer. It's just that she refuses to believe any of these tools of research until "her teacher says so." I have to admit, I am kind of at a loss here.
I believe she may be misremembering what she learned in class, because she's pretty set on the idea that reptiles are NOT, no way, no how, cold-blooded creatures. Mom and Dad are not smart, and books are wrong.
It's Friday, and I know this is the last thing on your mind, but I believe an e-mail from you would be sufficient in assuring Lennon of A) The answer and B) that there are MANY resources available to someone looking for an answer, besides her very helpful, very smart teacher.
Thanks.

P.S. Kindergarteners are crazy, and I hope you realize how much respect I have for you at this moment.

Hi Lennon!
Reptiles are cold-blooded. Your mom and dad went to school just like I did and they are very smart people. If they tell you something it is probably true. When you look something up on the internet it will tell you many things. Just like when we looked up Killer Ants in class. It is the same internet at home and at school. Books are also very good to read when you want to know something. That's where I get most of my information from too. Have fun researching!

Dear Lennon,
BOO-YAH! How does it feel to be so wrong? I wouldn't know. I've never been schooled as hard you just got schooled. If you need help coping, I'm sure there's a book about it somewhere.
Love, Mom
*Not your real name, not making fun of you.

Ha! My kid the same age does this same thing. Must be developmental.
And my 3-year-old won't believe anyone - not a teacher if she had one, or the Pope, or probably God and/or all his angels. That one Knows Everything.
You are the coolest mom ever!
hilarious. I currently still have a child that believes everything I say is fact however she believes nothing my husband tells her...is she being ridiculous or wise beyond her years.
ah-mazing.
I hope Lennon calls her teacher Ms. S because I have not idea how to pronounce that last name.
P.S. Lennon, you can edit Wikipedia to say whatever you want it to.
This is one of the only things to bring me joy today. You have broken the haze of the most EPIC head cold ever.
(Please tell me you get the inside joke with epic and are not judging me using it.)
It's official: this is my favorite Mommyblogyay post ever...I mean, how can I not love going to any length to prove someone wrong? It's my favorite hobby.
So how did Lennon take the news?
Rheneas,
I love you! Thanks for making me laugh.
