Pumpkin

We're going to carve a pumpkin today, and we don't have "tools" so we're hitting that MoFo up Old School. I was thinking about going English on it, and just glueing on a bunch of leaves and yarn, but I think Lennon wants to cut it, and I'm in the mood to get elbow deep in orange goo.

Question: Can anyone tell me the best thing to do with pumpkin seeds? Normally they end up in the trash, but with economic crisis rearing its ugly head, I'd hate to waste anything.

Also, I really like roasted pumpkin seeds, and I don't have the slightest clue how to make them delicious.

Feel free to school me.

Talk to Kelli about the pumpkin seeds...Brandt said that she did some awesome roasting with seasoning on them and they were tasty. She'll hook you up with a recipe.

Happy carving. You are the best cut-up I know.

Just clean the seeds (water is plenty) then put them on a cookie sheet. Salt em and roast em. Make sure you toss em while they're roasting in the oven otherwise you'll end up with burnt on one side, white on the other.

am i too late? we just roasted our seeds last night. clean them, and then put them in a small pot with a few cups of water and a few tablespoons (yes, that's a lot) of salt. Bring to a boil and then let them simmer for 10 minutes. spread olive oil on a baking sheet and spread the seeds out. cook at 400 for about 15 minutes or until they are kinda gold-brown in color.

I noticed that you used her real identity in this post. Not that I am going over it with a fine tooth comb or anything.
